serendipity

I’ve just started the Raining Umbrellas creativity e-course as part of my “Year of Creativity”, which I am super excited about. Today’s challenge was to write, draw, design or photograph our perspective of “Serendipity”. With that in mind, this design was inspired by the little surprises we find in nature that brighten our day, like a four leaf clover, a heart-shaped cloud or pebble.

  • This turned out beautifully, Nikki! It looks like it needs to be framed and hung. :)

    Great work!!!

  • So cool Nikki! Love it….

  • Clouds! Your creation brings back beautiful memories from my childhood and recent photography experiments come to my mind as well :)
Love that your heart is part of a balloon as they can have the same effect … The dreamy way you shaped it makes me also think of a speech bubble …

  • Thank you for all of the positive feedback :)

Cococita I think we notice a lot more as kids, so I feel these little occurrences in nature are important reminders in our busy lives to take a deep breath and smell the roses occasionally – and smile as we look back at our childhood memories!

  • You're welcome Nikki and I so agree! Since I got diagnosed with an illness some years ago, I started to allow myself to look at the world with the eyes of a child and my camera helped me a lot to experience the wonder of life again! Mindfulness, living in the moment: these are important tools to live this 21st era life! The beauty of simplicity has become my motto since those days …

  • This is great! Sometimes I still love to just lay in the grass and gaze at the sky and see if I can find clouds in animal shapes. Just a great memory! Thanks for this, its lovely.

  • When I looked at this photograph I was reminded of the song "Both Sides Now" and it made me smile.

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
    It's cloud illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all
